Tianyu Zhou is a Chinese-Canadian artist known for her accomplishments as a concert pianist, singer, songwriter, music producer, and actor. A prodigious classical pianist, Tianyu has concertized internationally in prestigious venues across Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East, including  Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall, Jerusalem Music Centre, Beijing Forbidden City Concert Hall, Shanghai Oriental Arts Centre Concert Hall, Barcelona Arts Centre, Wiener Saal Salzburg, CBC Glenn Gould Studio, etc.  She has performed solo recitals in over 30 cities across China under Poly Theatre Management, establishing herself as one of the most prominent pianists of her generation.

Tianyu was invited to the 2021 Aspen Music Festival as a recipient of the Polonsky Foundation Fellowship, mentored by  Veda Kaplinsky, The Juilliard School. She was also invited to attend the Lucerne Piano Festival Masterclass and has showcased a wide repertoire, including performing Bach's Goldberg Variations publicly at 18 and presenting it internationally alongside other works. When Tianyu was only 11 years old, she was named a “Wonder Kid” by Toronto City TV, and featured in a prime-time interview across Canada. Tianyu has also earned recognition in prestigious competitions, such as the Grand Prix at the 29th Scholarship Pianists’ Tournament in Ostrów Wielkopolski, where she won a special prize for “Best Interpretation of Chopin.” She was honored to perform for the President and First Lady of Poland and China at the Royal Castle in Warsaw, marking a pivotal moment in her early career. Her musical accomplishments have earned her features in top publications such as China Daily News, Music Weekly, Piano Artistry Magazine, and Toronto City TV, as well as coverage on prominent radio stations like RTHK in Hong Kong and Hubei TV in China.

Tianyu’s formal studies include time spent at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music in Tel Aviv, where she studied under Arie Vardi, and the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Poland with Wojciech Świtała, where she earned a Master’s degree with the highest distinction. Her musical development also included mentorship under renowned artists such as Christoph Eschenbach, Murray Perahia, Dmitri Bashkirov, and Andrzej Jasinski.

Tianyu is multitalented.

Though her piano career took center stage, TiANYU’s passion for pop music has been rooted since her teenage years.

Since the pandemic, Tianyu transitioned into singing, songwriting, and music production, blending cinematic textures with versatile storytelling across pop, R&B, and electronic genres. Her work as a singer and producer has garnered recognition, with her track do NOT disturb featured on Spotify's Fresh Find playlist. Tianyu regularly releases original singles and is collaborating with an Emmy-winning engineer and producer on her debut EP, set for release in 2025. She performed the opening theme song for the TV series The Power Source, which ranked #6 on the China Music Billboard, and she composed original piano scores for the series.

In addition to her music career, Tianyu is also an actor, signed with Performers Management. She recurs on Kung Fu (Season 3) on the CW, has appeared in commercials internationally, and was scouted as a model during her piano studies in Israel
